General Purpose Polystyrene (GPPS) crystal grade, a transparent, rigid thermoplastic offering excellent clarity and ease of processing for diverse applications. This amorphous polystyrene produces parts with glass-like transparency, smooth surfaces, and good dimensional stability, making it ideal for packaging, disposable products, and consumer goods where appearance matters. West African plastics processors use GPPS for injection molding clear containers, display products, and household items, as well as for thermoforming and sheet extrusion applications. The material's low cost and excellent processability make it competitive for applications where its brittleness and limited temperature resistance are acceptable limitations. Food contact grades support packaging applications for dairy products, baked goods, and other food items where clarity allows product visibility. Available in various molecular weights and flow grades optimized for different processing technologies, GPPS represents an important commodity thermoplastic serving high-volume applications across consumer and industrial markets.
